Privacy Policy

Effective March 18, 2026

LoopMastering needs some account, upload, and device information to turn your files into mastered audio and keep the service working.

This page explains what we collect, how we use it, what we share, and what choices you have.

Controller and contact

LoopMastering.com is a site operated by LoopMastering ("we", "us", and "our") from Quebec, Canada.

LoopMastering is the controller for the personal data described in this policy.

Questions, privacy requests, and complaints can be sent through the Contact Us link in the footer.

What we collect

We collect the information needed to run the service, protect it, and deliver your masters.

  • Account data such as your name, email address, profile image, and login/session records.
  • Optional sign-in data from providers like Google and Facebook when you choose that login path.
  • Upload and job data such as filenames, file type, file size, processing status, previews, mastered files, and delivery files.
  • Billing data such as your selected plan, billing currency, Stripe customer and checkout identifiers, subscription status, and records tied to song unlocks or Unlimited access.
  • Technical and security data such as IP address, hashed IP data used for rate limiting, browser/session metadata, and basic request information.
  • Support and communication data such as the messages you send us and the context needed to troubleshoot your issue.

Cookies and device storage

We currently use storage that helps the app function, not a marketing tracker stack.

  • An essential guest cookie keeps guest jobs tied to the same browser.
  • localStorage stores resumable upload records and the latest job reference.
  • sessionStorage stores pending download intent while you move through sign-in.
  • IndexedDB can store a file handle when your browser supports resumable uploads that reopen the same file.

How we use information

  • To create accounts, sign users in, and keep sessions working.
  • To upload audio, run mastering jobs, generate previews and delivery files, and let you download them.
  • To prevent abuse, enforce rate limits, investigate errors, and keep the service reliable and secure.
  • To provide support, respond to requests, and improve day-to-day product operations.

Legal bases for EEA and UK users

If GDPR or similar European privacy law applies to you, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases depending on the activity.

  • Contract: to create your account, process uploads, generate previews and paid masters, manage purchases, and provide the service you ask us to provide.
  • Legitimate interests: to secure the service, prevent fraud and abuse, troubleshoot issues, maintain backups, and improve how the product works day to day.
  • Legal obligation: to keep billing, tax, accounting, and compliance records and to respond to valid legal requests.
  • Consent: where the law requires consent for a specific activity, in which case you can withdraw that consent for future processing.

When we share information

We do not sell your personal information or your uploaded audio.

  • We may share data with service providers that help us host, store, process, secure, or support the product.
  • If you use Google or Facebook sign-in, the relevant auth provider helps handle that login flow.
  • We use Stripe to process checkout, subscriptions, billing portal actions, and related payment records. Stripe receives the billing and transaction information needed to provide those services.
  • We may disclose information when reasonably required for legal compliance, fraud prevention, or protection of users, rights, and systems.

International transfers

We and our service providers may process personal data in countries other than the one where you live.

When personal data protected by GDPR is transferred outside the EEA or UK, we rely on recognized transfer safeguards when required, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

Retention

Guest uploads, previews, and guest jobs expire after the configured guest retention window, which is currently 7 days by default.

Signed-in jobs and mastered files stay available until you delete them, your account is closed, or we later change the retention policy.

Account, session, billing, backup, and security records may be kept for as long as reasonably needed for operations, compliance, or abuse prevention.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, including if you are in the EEA or UK, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, and withdrawal of consent where consent is the legal basis.

Signed-in users can currently delete mastered songs from their account. If you want help with a broader privacy, access, correction, objection, or deletion request, use the Contact Us link in the footer.

  • Privacy and account requests can be sent through the Contact Us link in the footer.
  • We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
  • We do not currently offer a self-serve account deletion or full data export tool.
  • If GDPR applies to you, you can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Children

LoopMastering is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the service, contact us and we will review the situation.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the product, billing, or legal requirements evolve. When we do, we will post the updated version here with a new effective date.

Questions, privacy requests, or support issues can be sent through the Contact Us link in the footer.
